PLATTSBURGH — City of Plattsburgh firefighters responded to a fire reported at Georgia-Pacific Corp. shortly after 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
While no flames were visible, there was a smell of smoke in the area.
Mayor Chris Rosenquest said the scene appeared to be under control around 6:40 p.m. and he was awaiting further information from firefighters.
The fire reportedly appeared to be in a machine and may have spread into the duct work of the building.
