The final meeting of the 2022-2023 City Council in Gloucester’s 400+ anniversary year recognized the efforts of the leadership team of Gloucester 400+ for their efforts at putting on a year-long celebration of various events with special citations presented to them in the Kyrouz Auditorium in City Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 12.
On hand were the organization’s Tri-Chairs: Bob Gillis, former Mayor Bruce Tobey and Ruth Pino.
Also recognized for their efforts were Gloucester 400+ Executive Director Elsje Zwart and Events Manager Isabel Pett.
During the presentation, Councilor at-Large Jeff Worthley presented a citation to Gillis, Councilor at-Large Jason Grow presented one to Tobey, Council President Val Gilman presented a citation to Pino, Ward 3 Councilor Frank Margiotta presented a citation to Zwart, and Council Vice President Sean Nolan presented a citation to Pett.
“Your love for our city is infectious,” Gilman read from the Pino’s citation. “Your spirit exudes positivity as you succeeded in getting people to work together for a common goal, the city that we love.”
All the citations similarly saluted the Gloucester 400+ team for their “limitless vision and leadership upholding the mission of this prestigious 400+ milestone.”
