Connie Hall-Scott “has an incredibly big heart and truly wants everyone to succeed,” said Amy Hartline, executive director of Keep Dalton-Whitfield Beautiful.
“I’ve had the privilege to have known Connie since I was a teenager,” Hartline said. “Connie supports so many young people who have an interest in the arts and performing. I benefited from it myself when I was younger.”
Hartline said it warms her heart when she sees Hall-Scott “working with other young performers who are benefiting from the same kind of support I had from her.”
An author and broadcaster, Hall-Scott may be best known for her book “Haunted Dalton, Georgia” that explores the area’s ghostly legends, and for Dalton Ghost Tours, a walking tour of the city’s reputed haunted places.
Hartline said Hall-Scott is a huge promoter of the Greater Dalton community, especially its arts and theater scene.
“Connie is so helpful to anyone in Dalton trying to get the word out about their organization, their passion or their latest project,” she said.
For her efforts to mentor young creative people and to promote Dalton, the Dalton Daily Citizen names Connie Hall-Scott Citizen of the Week.
