This year’s concert features Chris Golden, a Christian Inspirational artist, performing at the Cumberland County Playhouse Saturday, March 28, at 2 p.m. Doors for the matinee open at 1:30 p.m.
“Golden has roots from his tenure on tour with Alabama, Restless Heart and the Oak Ridge Boys, but his heart for serving the Lord has led him to where he is today,” said Bert Kersten, an FG Lion.
Golden has had opportunities to perform and share from locations such as The Ryman Auditorium, The Grand Ole Opry House, Dollywood, The Huckabee Show, Larry’s Country Diner and The Holy Land (Israel).
Golden has been nominated for Entertainer of the Year by the Inspirational Country Music Association. He has won this award in the past.
Concert proceeds will support the Helping Hearts, Foster Kids Closet, and various Lion’s projects in and around Fairfield Glade and Cumberland County.
The FG Lions Club have used funds raised over the last 35 years to continue to support non-profits within the community and county including donations to several local community nonprofit organizations including Kids On The Rise, FGRS, House of Hope, Avalon Center and the United Fund.
