The dust has settled on the diamonds in the Merrimack Valley Conference.
And on Monday, titles were decision in MVC1 for both baseball and softball. In both cases, the championships will be shared.
Three teams entered Monday’s action in baseball with 11-3 marks – Andover, Lawrence and Chelmsford.
Lancer ace Jayden Minaya took care of business for his club, tossing a two-hit shutout as the Lancers blanked Central Catholic, 4-0.
Pitching was at a premium down the road as the Warriors collided with Chelmsford. Andover grabbed a 1-0 thriller to earn the “co-champs” moniker with the Lancers.
In softball, both Tewksbury and Central Catholic carried identical 12-1 marks into action on Monday – having split their two-game regular season series.
Each got the job done on Monday, with Central knocking off Methuen, 9-5, and the Redmen winning at Billerica, 10-3.
They will share the championship.
