PLATTSBURGH — Castine Properties survived a comeback from Chateaugay, and Lomanto Provost Financial Advisors took down Peru in YMCA Men’s League games Thursday.

Castine Properties raced out to a 33-16 halftime lead then had to hold on for a 62-59.
The combination of Chateaugay’s hot second half shooting and a lack of urgency by the CP defense found Chateaugay battle back with 6:51 left in the game, trailing 46-31.
Mike Boyea, Jarrod Dumont and Chris Chase were a three-headed monster for Chateaugay, pouring in 40 second-half points.
Boyea led the Chateaugay squad with 29 points, with four from long range, and seven boards.
Dumont followed with 18 markers, also with four from beyond the arc, and seven rebounds.
Chase had a big second half with seven of his nine points in the final frame. He also had seven rebounds.
For Castine Properties, Jamie Davison had the hot hand with 18 points, including three from downtown; three steals; and three assists.
Matt Farbotko was right behind with 17 points along with a game-high nine caroms and three assists.
Chris Castine also hit double figures with 10 points with the aid of two from deep.

Lomanto Provost Financial Advisors used a balanced offensive attack and hot shooting from beyond the arc to cruise past Peru, 88-53.
LP knocked down 12 3-pointers and placed six players in double figures while building a commanding 51-26 halftime lead.
Steve Peryea led the charge with a game-high 23 points, including six 3-pointers.
Bailey Pombrio added 14 points, while Keagen Briggs and Alex Coupal chipped in 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Kaden Baugh and Zach Bieber rounded out the balanced scoring effort with 10 points each.
Lomanto Provost’s offense clicked all night as the team dished out 34 assists.
The ball movement led to open looks from the perimeter and helped LP turn a 25-point halftime lead into a 35-point victory.
The victory improves Lomanto Provost’s record to 2-1 through the first three weeks of YMCA Men’s League play.
