BOSTON — Massachusetts Republican Party Chair Amy Carnevale overcame opposition Saturday to win reelection to another term.
Carnevale’s second term will get underway on the heels of a 44-27 vote in her favor, the party said.
In a statement, Carnevale thanked the party committee and called it a “smooth election process.”
“I look forward to working collaboratively with State Committee members, Republican Town and City Committees, and activists across the Commonwealth to continue our progress,” she said. “Together, we will focus on electing Republicans to restore two-party governance in Massachusetts and advocate for the values that resonate with communities statewide. On to 2026.”
Republicans are shut out of all statewide and congressional offices in the Bay State and Democrats for decades have held control of the Massachusetts House and Senate.
Republicans didn’t lose ground in the Legislature during last November’s elections and President-elect Donald Trump performed better here than in 2016 or 2020.
Carnevale, a former state GOP committeewoman from Marblehead, was first elected in 2023.
