TICONDEROGA — The Ticonderoga High School Class of 2025 hosted the first annual “Ticonderoga High School Career & Curriculum Day” Wednesday, April 9 at the Ticonderoga High School.
This event, organized by the class of 2025 in coordination with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, was part of the Chamber’s new Employment Opportunities program.
Students coordinated with area businesses to learn about careers in a fun and exciting environment.
The event offered hands-on experience and a chance to speak one-on-one with business professionals.
Keynote Speaker, Sharon Burstein, provided an inspirational presentation on leadership.
Following the assembly, there was a Career Causeway (Job Fair) in the high school cafeteria giving students from all grades an opportunity to meet with local businesses.
The event concluded with an array of specific industry panels throughout the afternoon.
“While wandering through the gym and glancing at different job opportunities available to students has always been fun, the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce has had the incredible idea of innovating our traditional ‘Career Fair’ making it much more interactive for everyone involved,” Haley Sutphen, Class of 2025 Student said.
Quinn Lang, also a Class of 2025 Student reflected, “this day gave everyone the opportunity to explore the career options they specifically want to pursue which is very unique.”

“TACC has been pleased to work with the Ticonderoga Class of 2025 and our Area Businesses. Thank you all for your cooperation. We are thrilled to expand our employment services and programs here at the Chamber by working with local school districts. This particular initiative has given students the opportunity to work on an array of different event aspects, and gained skills that they can use in the future.
