Paul Bryer
SYRACUSE – Senior forward Paul Bryer of Plattsburgh State has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 19 as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Bryer was instrumental in Plattsburgh’s 3-2 win over Potsdam on Friday, as the senior helped the Cards stay undefeated in league play and atop the standings. The senior forward assisted on the team’s second goal of the game in the second period to give the team their first lead of the game, and then scored on the power play late in the third period for the game-winning goal.
The No. 1 Cardinals are currently 6-0 and host the LayerEight Shootout Tournament this weekend, as they match up with St. Olaf on Friday. Nov. 24 and then will play No. 11 Norwich or Middlebury in their second game.

ZSOFIA PAZMANDI
SYRACUSE– First-year forward Zsofia Pazmandi of Plattsburgh State has earned the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Rookie of the Week for the period ending Nov. 19 as announced by the conference office on Monday. This marks the second straight week earning the Rookie of the week award for Pazmandi.
Pazmandi continued her strong rookie campaign over the weekend, as she put up her second two-goal game of the season against Potsdam on Friday. Pazmandi registered the eventual game-winner late in the first period on a five-on-three power play and scored an empty netter to seal the win toward the end of the third period. On the week, she put 13 shots on goal and was +2 over two games played.
Bridget Orr
SYRACUSE – Junior forward Bridget Orr Plattsburgh State has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 19 as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Orr had an excellent offensive week for Plattsburgh, scoring twice against No. 13 Norwich in a 2-2 tie, and then adding an assist against Potsdam in a 4-1 win. Orr tallied twice against the Cadets, finishing a +/- mark of +1 while putting three shots on goal. Against the Bears, she assisted on the third goal of the game, helping the Cardinals to build a cushion on the road for an eventual SUNYAC win.
The Cardinals currently are 4-0-1 and will head to Middlebury this weekend for the Panther/Cardinal Classic, where they take on No. 9 UW-Eau Claire in their opening game on Saturday, Nov. 25. Waiting for them in their next game will be either No. 5 Middlebury or No. 15 Endicott, who they will play on Sunday, Nov. 26.
