CRESAPTOWN — For the second consecutive game, Calvary’s Sammy Scritchfield scored four goals, leading the Eagles to a 6-2 win.
Scritchfield recorded a hat trick for the Eagles (2-0) and opened the scoring at the 3:13 mark off a Luke Kamauf assist.
Van Nachtman evened the score for Great Commission at the 8:47 mark, firing a shot from 25 yards out into the top right corner.
Calvary defender Gerald Mihailovich intercepted a ball at midfield and placed the ball to Scritchfield who scored at the 27:01 mark.
Just over a minute later, Jake MacGray set up Scritchfield to complete the hat trick.
At the 36:01 mark, Kamauf set up Mihailovich to put the Eagles in front 4-1 at halftime.
The Bears opened the second half with a corner kick from Blake Nachtman that Owen Huber converted at the 57:18 mark.
Kamauf was fouled at the 66:15 mark, setting up MacGray who buried a penalty kick.
At the 73:15 mark, Scritchfield ended the scoring with his fourth goal off an assist by Hayden Kamauf.
The Eagles outshot the Bears 19-7 and led in corner kicks 10-1.
Great Commission’s Joel Loshi recorded 11 saves while Isiah McChossel added four.
Peyton Poland finished with five saves for Calvary.
The Eagles hosted Cumberland Valley on Friday and welcome Frankfort on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

PETERSBURG, W.Va. — Liam Orndorff and Wyatt Kesner tallied hat tricks to pace Frankfort to a rout of Petersburg on Thursday.

HAGERSTOWN — Bishop Walsh bounced back from a season-opening loss to Calvary by drawing Heritage Academy on Thursday.
Jackson Miller converged a penalty kick in the 65th minute for the Spartans’ goal.
The Heritage goal scorer and match statistics were not reported.
