KEYSER, W.Va. — Former WVU Potomac State College pitcher Caden Goodwin is returning to the baseball program as an assistant coach.
Goodwin returns to Keyser after playing stops at Saint Peter’s University and Fairmont State University, bringing experience at both the NCAA Division I and II levels.
“We’re extremely excited to welcome Caden back to Potomac State,” head coach Doug Little said. “Anytime you have the opportunity to bring back someone who understands our culture and what Potomac State Baseball represents, it’s a great day for the program.”
A two-year Catamount from 2023 to 2024, Goodwin appeared in 21 games while making 14 starts on the mound.
During his two seasons at Potomac State, he compiled a 9-4 record and earned NJCAA Region 20 All-Tournament Team honors before continuing his collegiate career at Saint Peter’s and Fairmont State.
“Caden has continued to grow through his experiences as a player, and we’re excited for him to share that knowledge with our student-athletes,” Little said. “He’ll be a tremendous addition to our staff, and we’re happy to have him back in Keyser.”
