Local caregivers received a 2023 Kristina Butler Comfort Keeper of the Year award during the home care company’s international conference in Texas. Kelly Ramos, of Cadillac, has been a caregiver with Comfort Keepers Traverse City since 2020. Annette Schaefer, of Wolverine, has been a caregiver at Comfort Keepers Traverse City since 2022.
Adrienne Hope was promoted to the human resources manager position with Comfort Keepers of Northern Michigan. Hope joined the company in 2021 as a talent development specialist.
She has a B.A. in education and is working to complete a master’s degree in business administration. She is a member of the Traverse Area Human Resource Association.
Sonny’s Body Shop has hired Jeff Proudfoot as an auto body technician. He has more than 20 years of experience in bodywork. Lee Cobb is also joining the team in a general shop maintenance position. In the summer, Cobb owns and operates Sugar Buzz, an ice cream truck.
Generations Ahead, a nonprofit that assists pregnant teens and young families, has three new board members: Sarah Sullivan, Sam Connell and Courtney Doyle. Sullivan is the executive director of Benzie Area Christian Neighbors. She started as a finance committee member for Generations Ahead in 2022.
She has more than 20 years of finance and accounting experience and is pursuing a graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling.
Connell has worked as director of sales for the Traverse City Pit Spitters since 2019. He received a business administration and a sport management degree from Aquinas College.
Doyle is the communications and member relations manager for Cherryland Electric Cooperative. She worked in broadcast journalism for almost 10 years and attended Central Michigan University.
