Lake Michigan Credit Union Board of Directors President and CEO Sandra Jelinski is planning to retire this spring. Julie Leonard was chosen to succeed Jelinski. Leonard will begin her new role in early March. She is currently executive vice president and chief financial officer of Suncoast Credit Union, based in Tampa, Florida. She has more than 25 years of experience in financial services. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Michigan and a master’s from the University of South Florida.

Andy Riemer is the new owner of Chuck Wagon Pizza in Ludington. Riemer, a Ludington native, also owns Stix Ludington and Riemer Eye Centers. The pizza place has been family owned for 40 years and is currently closed for the season.

20Fathoms has a new chief financial officer and tribal liaison: Shiloh Slomsky. She previously was director of Sustainable Employment and Economic Development Strategies for the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians and was co-founder and executive director of the 20Fathoms Arrowhead Incubator, a business program for Native Americans. She currently serves as a board member of the Tuscarora Township Economic Development Citizens Task Force and member of Kiwanis Club. She is founder and adviser of the Council of Youthful Native Voices. Slomsky has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lake Superior State University and a master’s degree in administration/leadership from Central Michigan University.
Pracilla Venhuizen was promoted to assistant vice president and human resources manager at Honor Bank. She has worked at the bank since February 2023. She has more than 10 years of experience in human resources and financial institution management.
Honor Bank has also promoted Misty Lucyk to assistant vice president. Lucyk returned to the bank in 2021 to help start the local help center and became help center manager in early 2023.
Munson Healthcare is welcoming family medicine physician Joseph Rexroat, M.D., to the Milliken Medical Group. Rexroat, a Lake Leelanau native, attended Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed a family medicine residency at Trinity Health Grand Rapids. Matt Waligorski is the new president of the Traverse City Rotary Club organization Wheels of Hope. He is replacing Al Bonney, who was chapter president of the Traverse City club for a year and president of Wheels of Hope for 15 years. Waligorski is an insurance agent with Peterson McGregor Insurance.
