VALDOSTA — Bush Wealth Management is offering a $1,000, non-renewable scholarship, but the deadline is Wednesday.
The money will be awarded to a single student and will be paid to the college or university, which can use it for tuition or fees, according to a release from Bush Wealth. A copy of an acceptance letter will be required to release the money to the school.
All decisions of the selection committee are final and are not subject to appeal.
An eligible candidate must:
— Be a current high school senior, in good academic standing, and will be graduating from South Georgia/North Florida area high schools in May 2024.
— Be attending an accredited four year college/university as a full-time student in the Fall 2024 semester.
— Any degree can apply. The award is not limited to finance/business majors.
To apply, the student must complete an application. He or she will need a letter of recommendation from a current teacher or guidance counselor. And he or she must write a 500-word essay: Why is it important to have a financial plan, and what details a well-designed plan should include.
Completed applications must be received by May 1, 2024.
All documentation must be sent together as one complete package. The application will be incomplete if any of these components are missing by the application deadline. Incomplete applications will not advance to the scholarship selection process. Documents will be accepted by mail or email to heather@bushwealth.com.
The recipient of the Bush Wealth Scholarship will be notified in May 2024 and their name will be posted on the company website.
