Shaun Dolac is getting a shot.
The University at Buffalo graduate and West Seneca native made the final roster for the Los Angeles Rams after going undrafted. The linebacker was not invited to any college all-star games nor the NFL scouting combine despite being a consensus All-American.
Dolac made seven tackles apiece in the Rams’ first two preseason games and was held out of the finale, an early indication he was making the roster. He ultimately beat out fifth-round pick Chris Paul Jr. for a job.
Dolac made 391 tackles — 42 for a loss — 12 ½ sacks and six interceptions for Buffalo in 49 games over five seasons. He led the nation with 168 tackles last season, while posting 6 ½ sacks and five interceptions.
