FOUNTAIN COUNTY, Ind. — The Indiana Department of Transportation announced on Friday a bridge closure that will impact State Road 32 in Fountain County.
According to a release from INDOT, beginning on or after Friday, May 15, contractors will close the S.R. 32 bridge over Prairie Creek, located between Glascock Road and County Road 170 W.
The purpose of the closure is to perform a bridge scour protection on the structure. Construction is anticipated to last until Friday, June 5 but is weather dependent and subject to change.
The official detour around the closure follows S.R. 32 to S.R. 63 to I-74 to U.S. 41 and back to S.R. 32. INDOT encourages drivers to seek an alternate route and to use caution while traveling in and around work zones.
