PLATTSBURGH — Brennan Buick GMC will donate to the North Country Honor Flight for every car sold during the month of February.
The fundraiser is a collaboration between the Brennan team and Honor Flight to support sending local veterans on a trip to Washington, D.C., where they spend the day visiting various monuments dedicated to their fallen fellow service members.
Dealer Principal Annie Brennan said the team has supported Honor Flight ever since learning of it in 2023 through the Plattsburgh Noon Rotary Club and called the partnership a “perfect fit.”
“We were incredibly moved by the mission and have been proud supporters ever since,” she said. “When Bill DelTosta approached us about partnering on a larger initiative, we were very excited about the opportunity.
“We’re always looking for meaningful ways to give back to the community that supports us, and this felt like a perfect fit.”
North Country Honor Flight marketing volunteer Bill DelTosta said the Brennan’s warmed up to the deal instantly when he approached the team.
“It’s solely for the month of February, and it’s $100 for every vehicle they sell,” he said.
The Brennan dealership will present the North Country Honor Flight team with a check in the beginning of March, DelTosta said.
While Annie said the immediate Brennan family doesn’t have a military background, their team members and valued customers do.
“In a community like ours, you’re never far removed from someone who has served, and that makes supporting this cause especially meaningful,” she said.
While Brennan Buick GMC will donate to the cause for every car sold, they also encourage people to support North Country Honor Flight in any way they can.
“We are deeply grateful to those who have served our country, and we’re equally grateful that the North Country Honor Flight allows us the opportunity to help show our appreciation in a tangible way,” Annie said. “It’s an incredible organization, and one of the many reasons we’re proud to be part of the North Country community.
“We strongly believe a business should be deeply rooted in the community it serves, and our team takes great pride in supporting organizations that strengthen the North Country.”
