BOLTON — Nothing was going to stop Bolton’s Jadynn Egloff from crossing the threshold, not even the flu.
The junior eclipsed the 1000 point mark, joining her brother who did it earlier this season, as the Eagles defeated the Blue Bombers, 63-24, Friday.
With the win, Bolton clenched the Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference Division II, with a record of 11-1 overall and undefeated in conference play.
Teammate Maillie Kelley led the way with 19 points, scoring 14 of them between the second and third quarters. Freshman Thea Kennedy had a huge second quarter scoring all of her 10 points to fend off a feisty Lake Placid.
The Bombers were led by Anisa Cecunjanin, who provided stout defense and Ellie Shipman who recorded a team high nine points.

SCHROON LAKE 28

SCHROON LAKE — Sloan Clark played a game with a heavy heart, Friday, as her team honored her grandfather, a Schroon Lake graduate of 1964, Albert Clark who passed away earlier in the week.
He was her biggest fan and always would encourage her to keep shooting, and that’s what she did.
Clark led the Wildcats with eight points, which included a big three late in the fourth quarter to help her team defeat Seton Catholic, 28-23.
Fellow Wildcat, Carly Smith added 16 rebounds and was a point shy of recording a double-double with nine points.
Grace Trombley led the Knights with five.
“Seton plays so hard the entire game, and is one of the best coached teams around,” Schroon Lake’s Jeff Cutting said. “It is always a tough battle when we get together.”
