A body found in the Niagara River near Youngstown on Saturday is not believed to be a missing 18-year-old who fell into the river near Niagara Falls on Wednesday.
State Park Police were advised of the discovery of the body by Canadian authorities around 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Both US and Canadian authorities responded to the incident.
The body was recovered from the water by the U.S. Coast Guard near Youngstown and brought to the Coast Guard Station-Niagara where they were met by State Park Police, New York State Police BCI, and the coroner.
Identification is pending, however, police say at the scene said the body is not that of missing 18-year old Aung S. Hla.
