LONDONDERRY — Get ready to groove as the 11th Annual Londonderry Blues Festival returns to town from noon to 4 p.m. on Aug. 23 at the Town Common, 265 Mammoth Road.
This beloved community event promises an unforgettable afternoon of live music, great food and local flavor, all in support of veterans.
This year’s headliner is the renowned Dr. Harp’s Blues Review Band, bringing high-energy blues to the main stage from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event also features performances by the X Band, from noon to 12:45 p.m.; and the Lee and Dr. G Band, from 1:15 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Festival goers can also enjoy delicious eats from Smokin’ Spank’s BBQ food truck, sweet treats from ice cream and novelties vendor, Scoop’s Out, and explore local artisan booths and vendors throughout the event.
Best of all, 100% of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association NH5-1, supporting local veterans and their families.
Admission is free and all ages are welcome. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and join the community in celebrating music, service and summer in Londonderry.

How did teen culture evolve?
ATKINSON — The Friends of the Kimball Library are hosting a teen pop culture discussion beginning at 6 p.m. on Aug. 14 at the Kimball Library, 5 Academy Ave.
Teen culture didn’t always exist. It was not until World War II, with men off fighting and women working in factories, that adolescents were left unsupervised long enough to develop a subculture.
Join the Friends to learn how teen pop culture evolved in the ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s.
