This year’s Blue Ribbon Event is teaming up with the Love Crossville Easter egg hunt at Crossville Centennial Park.
The 19th annual event in observance of April as Child Abuse Awareness Prevention Month will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, with a ceremony promoting awareness and focusing on the importance of protecting children from abuse.
A number of parenting resources and community support services will be on site. There will also be volunteer opportunities for those who want to help.
Refreshments will be available.
Children’s activities abound during the event. In addition to the Easter egg hunt for ages 12 and younger, kids can meet and pose for photos with the Easter Bunny and participate in crafts and games. Face painting and balloon animals will also be available, and lots of prizes will be given away.
The public is encouraged to attend these free activities.
