While Wharton Association’s Blue Barn sales grow in popularity, so do the number of items available.
That’s why the Wharton Association has decided to have a one-day-only clearance sale from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, July 25.
The sale will be in the 6,500-square-foot Blue Barn in Pleasant Hill at 34 Wharton Loop, just off West Lake Road and beyond the Uplands Wellness Center at East Main Street and West Lake Road.
“This sale is a new one for the Wharton Association. We have so many additional items coming in every day that we’re simply bursting at the seams,” said Clearance Sale Chair Don Dowdey. “More than 50 volunteers have been working feverishly to move, sort, price and display all the new items in preparation for this sale.”
Items available include furniture, lamps, rugs, dishes and kitchenware, linens, small working appliances, computers, stereo systems and other pretested electronics, home and garden tools, office, craft and workshop supplies, frames and framed artwork, sports equipment, home decor, antiques, curios and collectibles. At this sale all furniture will be at half price.
Proceeds from the sale benefit the mission of the Wharton Association, which strives to uphold the legacy of physician and founder, Dr. May Cravath Wharton.
Through the association’s sales every year, they are able to grant scholarships to area residents, address other financial needs in the wider community, and provide special events for residents in the assisted living, memory care and long-term care centers in Uplands Village, a not-for-profit life plan retirement community in Pleasant Hill.
