BURGLARY
Police are investigating a burglary in the 2200 block of Cleveland Avenue. A contractor told officers that sometime between 10 a.m. Sunday and 10:14 a.m. Wednesday someone broke into a home he was working on by kicking in the back door. The victim said tools, valued at $300, and flooring, valued at $1,100, were taken from the house.
ARREST
A Falls man was arrested on weapons and other charges after an encounter with officers working a specialized anti-violence patrol in the 1500 block of Whitney Avenue at 2:45 p.m. Friday. Nigel Cordarryl Isom, 37, 1838 Willow Ave., Apt. E upper, was charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Officers said they recovered a 9mm handgun from a backpack Isom was wearing.
ARREST
A Falls woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 9700 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. The 34-year-old woman was charged with petit larceny. She is accused of taking more than $395 worth of merchandise without paying for the items.

A Falls man was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road at 6:02 p.m. Sunday. The 55-year-old man was charged with petit larceny. He is accused of taking more than $246 worth of merchandise without paying for the items.
INCIDENT
A Town of Niagara man was taken into custody after leading police on a chase early Monday morning. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office reports that a deputy tried to initiate a traffic stop at Hyde Park Boulevard and Witmer Road about 2:45 a.m. but the car’s driver refused to stop, fleeing on Witmer and Saunders Settlement Road at a high rate of speed. At one point the vehicle left the roadway and tried to drive through a field where it became stuck in mud. Two people in the vehicle were taken into custody. The driver, a 39-year-old Town of Niagara man was charged with misdemeanor counts of third-degree fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, reckless driving, aggravated unlicensed operation and numerous traffic infractions. The vehicle was impounded and further charges could be filed.
