A Falls man was arrested after he ran from officers in the 600 block of 19th Street at 1:10 p.m. Aug. 16. He was charged with resisting arrest. Officers said they were attempting to take him into custody on three outstanding arrest warrants when he fled from them.

A Falls man was arrested after he reportedly trespassed at a business in the 1700 block of Pine Avenue at 1:50 p.m. Aug. 16. He was charged with third-degree criminal trespass. Police said he had been previously barred from entering the business.

A Falls man was arrested after he reportedly damaged a car in the 1400 block of Fort Avenue at 4:25 p.m. Aug. 16. He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and is accused of throwing an object through the back window of a vehicle, causing $250 worth of damage.

A Falls woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 7400 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard at 6:03 p.m. Aug. 16. She was charged with petit larceny. She is accused of taking more than $146 worth of merchandise without paying for the items.
BURGLARY
Police are investigating a burglary in the 500 block of 20th Street. A male victim told officers that sometime between 1 p.m. Aug. 17 and 3:50 p.m. Aug. 18, someone kicked in the door to his apartment. The victim said some cash and some bed sheets were taken from the apartment.

A Falls man was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 800 block of Portage Road at 8:49 a.m. Aug. 19. He was charged with petit larceny and third-degree burglary and is accused of taking more than $10 worth of merchandise without paying for the items. He had also reportedly been barred from entering the store.

A North Tonawanda woman was arrested on drunken driving and other charges after a traffic stop in the 800 block of Cedar Avenue at 6:06 p.m. Tuesday. She was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated, drinking alcohol or using cannabis in a motor vehicle on a highway, no insurance and no seatbelt.
THEFT
Officers are looking into a vehicle break-in in the 1200 block of Hyde Park Boulevard. A male victim told police that sometime between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday, someone broke into his 2006 Mercury Suburban by smashing the front passenger-side window. The victim said the vehicle’s sound system, valued at $1,500, was taken from the SUV.
