Buffalo Bills edge rusher Von Miller has been suspended four games without pay for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
The suspension is based on allegations he assaulted his pregnant girlfriend in November 2023. Miller turned himself in on an arrest warrant in the Dallas area on a charge of third-degree felony assault on Nov. 30, 2023.
Miller was not suspended by the Bills, who have consistently stated they believe the matter would be resolved. During training camp, Miller said he considered the case closed, but it has not been confirmed by the Dallas County Sheriffs.
The 35-year-old has recorded five tackles and three sacks in the first four games of the season, a year after making three tackles without a sack in 12 games while recovering from ACL surgery. Miller played a season-low nine snaps in Buffalo’s 35-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens Sunday.
Miller will be eligible for reinstatement on Oct. 28. He is expected to miss games against the Houston Texans, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks, with a return against the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 3.
In a corresponding move, the Bills signed defensive tackle Zion Logue off of the Atlanta Falcons practice squad. The 6-foot-6, 325-pound Logue is a rookie who was taken in the sixth round out of Georgia, where he played 50 games.
