The Oneonta girls basketball team used a strong third quarter to defeat Seton Catholic 50-34 in Monday’s Senior Night contest.
Trailing by three at halftime, the Yellowjackets outscored Seton 25-9 in the third frame to pull away for the win.
Jordan Bellinger and Selene Wellman each made four three-pointers for OHS, finishing with 16 and 12 points, respectively. Kylie Carr was also in double-figures with 10 points.
On Saturday, the Yellowjackets fell to Norwich 58-46 on the road.
Wellman led Oneonta with 15 points, Bellinger scored 11 and Hayden LeFever added 10.
Oneonta (7-9) will be at Southern Cayuga on Wednesday.
Franklin 56, Hunter-Tannersville 46 (Saturday) Franklin 41, Laurens/Milford 36 (Friday)
Franklin earned two wins in as many days, defeating Laurens/Milford 41-36 on Friday and Hunter-Tannersville 56-46.
Saturday’s win was highlighted by Shannon Kingsbury scoring her 1,000th varsity point as she finished the win with 31 points. Riley McNamara added 11 points for the Purple Devils.
Julia Legg was H-T’s top scorer with 13 points.
Kingsbury was Franklin’s top scorer in Friday’s victory as well, finishing with 18 points. McNamara and Naydine Gilson netted nine and eight points, respectively.
For L/M, Brooke Mann scored 15 points and Kyrah Andrades finished with 11.
Franklin (8-8) will host Sharon Springs on Wednesday.
Schenevus 55, Cherry Valley-Springfield 47 (Saturday)
Schenevus took down Cherry Valley-Springfield 55-47 on Saturday for a Tri-Valley League victory.
Amber Burton led the Dragons with 18 points while Cady Ritton and Sam Barrett had 13 points apiece.
CV-S’s Bailey Thayer led all scorers with 20 points and Mackenzie McGovern added 10.
Schenevus (11-3) will visit Laurens/Milford on Wednesday in the Tri-Valley League playoffs. CV-S (10-6) will host Gilbertsville-Mount Upton the same day.

A blistering second quarter helped Cooperstown defeat New York Mills 90-41 at home on Monday.
Leading by two after eight minutes, the Hawkeyes blew the game wide open with a 34-point second quarter.
Miles Nelen led the offense with 23 points, Cooper Bradley had a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds and Brody Murdock added 16 points.
Cooperstown (18-0) will visit Hamilton on Thursday.
