NEWBURYPORT — Tickets are on sale for the Belleville Roots Music 2024-25 season.
Le Vent du Nord opens on Friday, Oct. 11, at 8 p.m. Enjoy the energy and mirth of a Quebecois Saturday night kitchen party as this award-winning progressive string band returns to Belleville.
Martha Spencer and the Wonderland Country Band performs on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 8 p.m. Led by Martha Spencer, the Wonderland Country Band includes Jamie Collins on bass, Lucas Pasley on fiddle/banjo/vocals and Jake Dwyer on percussion/washboard/dance.
St. Patrick’s Day favorites Téada returns to Belleville with two shows on Sunday, March 9, at 2 and 5 p.m. A Irish traditional band with a truly worldwide reach, Téada has appeared as a frequent headliner at major music festivals throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Africa, Russia, the Middle East and Australia.
Legendary guitar slinger Bill Kirchen performs on Saturday, April 12, at 8 p.m. Scoring a Grammy nomination for Commander Cody’s “Hot Rod Lincoln” into a top 10 hit, Kirchen’s versatility slides between mash up rockabilly, country, western swing, honky tonk, jump blues, jazz to boogie-woogie.
Completing the season will be Authentic Unlimited Band on Saturday, May 3, at 8 p.m. Powerful and energetic bluegrass with an authentic East Tennessee feel returns to the Belleville Stage. The band won 2023 IBMA awards as Vocal Group of the Year and New Artist of the Year.
Belleville Roots Music Series concerts are held at the Belleville Congregational Church, 300 High St., Newburyport. Repairs to the 1867 Meetinghouse will be ongoing for the 2024-2025 season, and all concerts will be held in the adjacent stage room, which has limited seating. Belleville Congregational Church has long standing roots in the Newburyport community as a gathering place and as a supporter of local service organizations. Founded December 2010, the Belleville Roots Music Series brings high-quality roots music to the Newburyport area for all to enjoy, raises funds to restore and maintain the historic 1867 Belleville Meetinghouse and adjacent Fiske Chapel complex at 300 High St. in Newburyport, and builds community through music.
