BEEKMANTOWN — Beekmantown hosted Lake Placid and NCCS, Thursday and its athletes showcased their talent.
The Eagles defeated the Blue Bombers in both the boys and girls meets. As they had already faced the Cougars, there was no score between Beekmantown and NCCS.
A score between Lake Placid and NCCS was not received.
The Eagle boys had five different competitors double on the day as they cruised to the win, with Jon Slick leading the way with a triple. He won the 800, 1,600 and was a part of the 4×800 relay team.
Nolan Laidman joined him in the 4×800, and also ran away from the competition to win the 3,200.
Adam Burnham, Samuel Page and Miguel Herrera also doubled as the three gained one win on the 4×100 relay team. Burnham won the 200, Herrera took home the 100 and Page jumped the farthest in the triple jump.
It was more of the same for the Beekmantown girls as four different athletes doubled on the day.
Katie Hamel won the 100 and long jump as Addison Steele won the 100 hurdles and 200.
Rhianna Gilligan joined her teammates winning the 400 and triple jump. Kylie Bishop continued her strong run in the throes when the shot put and discus.
The bright spot for Lake Placid was seventh grader Leila Fey dominated the 1,500 and 800 and was also on the 4×400 relay team for the Bombers.

SARANAC — Saranac and Ti met on the track with the Spartans were in top form winning both team meets.
Individually seven boys and four girls won at least two events.
Corbin Duffield was the lone competitor for the boys to win both in track and field with the 400 hurdles and triple jump.
Connor Homburger, Riley Hutchinson and Landon Powers all grabbed one win in the 4×100. Homburger’s second came in the 100, Hutchinson doubled with the 200, and Powers ran away from the competition in the 110 hurdles.
Dale Lavarnway and Jackson Coryer had two wins as well with one being a part of the 4s800 relay. Lavarnway’s second win came in the 3,200 as Coryer’s was in the 800.
The Spartans also had Carson Ryan double in the 400 and as a member of the 4×400 relay.
In the girls’ meet, Sarah Lavigne stole the show as she set the school record in the 100 with a time of 12.47. While she set the record, her time didn’t count towards points as she wasn’t listed as a scorer.
Nora Caron’s time did as she doubled winning the 100 and was on the winning 4×100 relay team.
Sarah Ranger’s two wins came in the 4×800 and 4×400 relay team.
Grace Damiani and Desiree Jean-Pierre won in field events as Damiani tripled on the day. She won the high jump, triple jump and long jump.
Jean-Pierre won the throws, winning the shot put and discus.

SARANAC LAKE — Jake Kollmer won four events as Saranac Lake topped Moriah/Boquet Valley in boys and girls track.
Kollmer’s four wins came in the 400, 800 and as a member of the 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams.
Liam Nobles joined Koller on the 4×100 relay, also winning the long jump.
Liam Fletch and Emmet Van Buskirk won multiple events while being on the 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams, respectively. Fletcher won the triple jump and high jump while Van Buskirik’s second win came in the 400 hurdles.
Dustin Burke won the shot put and discus.
In the girls’ competition, 4 Red Storm athletes doubled.
Maggie Reed won the 100 hurdles and triple jump while Maggie Reynolds won the 800 and 1,500.
Zuleyka Oliveras and Anika Wamsganz were both on the 4×100 relay team. Their second wins came in the long jump and high jump, respectively.
Moriah/Boquet Valley’s Julian Riemersma was the speedster on the day, winning the 100, 200 and 400.

CLINTONVILLE — Plattsburgh High and AuSable Valley clashed at AVCS with the Hornets walking both the boys and girls meets.
On the boys’ side, four different PHS athletes won at least two events.
Dom DeAngelo, Nate Lambert and Braydon Caraballo all got wins as part of the 4×100 relay. DeAngelo’s second win came in the long jump as Caraballo’s came in the 100. Lambert tripled on the day, winning the triple jump and tying teammate Jonathan Frakes in the high jump.
Fox Burke also tripled with wins in the 800, 1,600 and as a part of the 4×800 relay team.
The Patriots had solid performances as well, led by Cetlon Dupuis.
Dupuis tripled with wins in the shot put, discus and as a part of the 4×400 relay team.
Jesse Giovacco joined Dupuis on the 4×400 relay team. He also won the 200.
In the girls’ meet, it was a competitive back-and-forth as the Hornets held on to win the meet.
AVCS’ Emma Pelkey and PHS’ Abigail McLean were the lone competitors to double on the day.
Pelkey won the 100 hurdles and long jump. McLean won the 800 and 1,500.
