Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the sixth, Anthony Littere delivered a two-run single and Trevor Meidenbauer recorded an RBI groundout to give Niagara Falls a 4-1 win over Lancaster in Game 1 the best-of-three Section VI Class AAA finals.
Littere, Aiden Hamilton, Anthony Savino and Johnathan Touma all scored one run apiece.
On the mound, Meidenbauer threw 6 innings on the mound to record the win. The junior allowed one run on three hits and struck out six batters on 112 pitches.
Michael Falls threw six innings and allowed four runs but struck out eight batters in the loss for Lancaster (5-11).
Niagara Falls (14-5) can clinch its first sectional title since 1999 in Game 2 at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Lancaster.
Class AA quarterfinal: No. 3 Niagara Wheatfield 13, No. 6 Hamburg 3
Ethan Osetkowski went 3 for 3 and drove in four runs to lead the Falcons to the semifinal and their 12th consecutive win. Senior Shawn Watson threw four innings on the mound.
Niagara Wheatfield (19-1) plays No. 2 Williamsville North in the Class AA semifinal at 5 p.m. in Williamsville.
Alex Strachan had two hits for Hamburg, who finished the season with a 14-7-1 record.
Class B quarterfinal: No. 4 Roy-Hart 10, No. 5 Southwestern 0
The Rams scored all 10 of their runs on three hits and eight walks in the first inning to advance to the semifinal and their 10th win in their last 12 contests.
Sean Mettler recorded a two-run single and Jake Gould recorded an RBI single two batters later. Remington Albee and Brayden Hy scored two runs each.
On the mound, Dawson Draper, Isaac Smith and Gould combined for a two-hitter and struck out eight batters. Roy-Hart (13-6) plays the winner of No. 1 Medina in the Class B semifinal at 5 p.m. with the location to be determined.
Jameson Walsh and Peter Conley recorded a hit apiece in the loss for Southwestern, who finished the season with a 13-6 record.

A two-run single by Brody Fry in the first inning helpful the Mustangs jump on Niagara-Orleans League rival Akron early.
Richard Keppler and Vinny Gray added RBI singles, while Fry gave up three hits and fanned four in five innings of work on the mound.
Medina (17-1) hosts Roy-Hart in the semifinals Wednesday. Akron finished the season 11-10.
Class B quarterfinal No. 2 Fredonia 10, No. 7 Newfane 0
Ashton Putney threw 5 innings, allowed one hit and struck out 10 batters to lead the Hillbillies to the Class B semifinals. Putney also ended the game with a two-run single for the mercy-rule win.
Ben Dickinson led Newfane at the plate, going 2 for 3 with a double. Cam Perry threw 3 innings on the mound for the Panthers, allowing six earned runs on seven hits, while Brayden Seitz recorded two strikeouts and allowed three runs on three hits in relief.
Fredonia (17-5) hosts No. 3 Portville in the semifinals Wednesday. Newfane finished the season with a 10-7 record.
