DANVILLE — The Danville Barbershop Chorus is hosting their annual “Polecats in the Park” free concert at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at the Lincoln Park Stage, 900 Lincoln Park Ave.
“Polecat songs are some of the bedrock barbershop staples,” said chorus director Tom Fricke in an official release. “Folks will recognize some of the traditional numbers, like ‘My Wild Irish Rose,’ ‘Let Me Call You Sweetheart’ or ‘Wait Till The Sun Shines Nellie.’”
There will also be some numbers from “Music of America” concert, like “Yankee Doodle” and “God Bless America.”
The program should last about 45 minutes. Those attending are invited to bring their lawn chairs, and there will be benches available for seating.
