Five local high school graduates each have received a $2,500 scholarship to support their pursuit of higher education as the new school year gets underway.
The BankGloucester Scholarship program recognizes graduating seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities.
The 2025 recipients are:
Alysa Morris, Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School; attending Salem State University, majoring in biotechnology.
Hannah Olson, Gloucester High School; attending Wheaton College in Norton, majoring in sociology.
Lily Stefanovich, Manchester Essex Regional High School; attending the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, majoring in economics and management.
Claire Kelly, Ipswich High School; attending James Madison University, majoring in pediatric speech pathology.
Aiden Christensen, Rockport High School; attending Virginia Military Institute, NROTC Marine Corps, majoring in military history.
