NEWBURYPORT — Runway for Recovery, a non-profit dedicated to supporting families affected by breast cancer, proudly announces that acclaimed author and breast cancer survivor Elin Hilderbrand will be gracing the runway at their upcoming 18th Annual Runway Show, New England on Friday, Oct. 25, at the Westin Seaport Boston.
“We are thrilled to have Elin Hilderbrand join us as a model for this year’s Runway for Recovery,” said founder and Executive Director Olivia Boger. “Her journey as a breast cancer survivor and her impactful work as an author resonate deeply with our mission of empowerment and support.
Runway for Recovery aims to provide a continuum of support to families navigating the challenges of breast cancer by fostering community, hosting empowering events, and offering vital services that bring joy and inspire hope. The annual Runway Show serves as a beacon of solidarity, celebrating the resilience of those fighting breast cancer, honoring the legacies of loved ones lost, and rallying support for affected families.
“Elin’s participation not only highlights her personal strength but also inspires countless others facing similar challenges. We know that for many of our past runway models, Elin’s novels, especially those that tell the story of someone impacted by breast cancer, have been both comforting and inspirational to those who have been through treatment themselves,” Boger said.
The event promises an evening of fashion, compassion, and community, uniting supporters from across New England to raise funds for the families that Runway supports and awareness about the impacts of breast cancer. Attendees can expect a showcase of courage and resilience as survivors, metastatic patients, the children of those who have passed away from the disease, and supporters come together to make a difference. The evening has been inspiring crowds in New England since its founding in 2007.
