Mimi Barnes from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will be the guest speaker at the March meeting of the Fairfield Glade Garden Club.
Barnes has spoken to the group on many occasions, always imparting a better understanding of the flora and fauna of the Cumberland Plateau. In March she will speak about “Armadillos, Opossums and Bears” in the area.
Barnes holds an M.S. in Ecology from Lesley University in Boston. She has worked in the wildlife field for over 30 years. Her passion includes anything outdoors, but a favorite topic is human-wildlife dimensions, something we all could use to know more about.
The meeting will be held on March 20 at the Fairfield Glade Community Church at 521 Snead Drive beginning at 9:30 a.m. Members and visitors are welcome to arrive at 9 a.m. for pre-meeting refreshments. The featured program will follow the business meeting.
Visitors are always welcome. For more information about the FG Garden Club please visit their website at fggardenclub.com or contact them at fggardenclub@gmail.com.
