Top singles player Mia Thomas delivered the deciding point — rallying for a 6-7 (6-8), 6-1, 6-0 victory — as the Golden Warriors won a Division 1 Round of 32 thriller that did not end until 9:57 p.m. The other victories for the Warriors went to Ishwa Dharan (6-3, 6-3) and the doubles team of Caitlyn Croll and Farah Berty (6-0, 6-2). Andover will next face Acton-Boxboro at a time and date TBA.
Pinkerton 5, Bishop Guertin 4
Winners for the Astros in the Division I quarterfinals were Amelia Coyle (9-7), Mia Rivard (8-4), Natalie Olson (8-3), Eloise Clark (8-3) and Emmah Peoples (8-3). Pinkerton advances to the semifinals on Tuesday.
Timberlane 6, Alvirne 3
The Owls were lead in the Division II quarterfinals by Abigal Robinson and Haley Hannaford. Hannaford and Gabby Sierra avenged their losses from the regular season against Alvirne. Hayden Quaratiello also had a strong win in singles. The winners move on to the semifinals on Tuesday at Portsmouth.
Softball
Greater Lawrence 7, North Reading 5
The Reggies exploded for five runs in the top of the sixth in the Division 2 preliminary round matchup. Freshman Olivia Erban and Brooke Nasella delivered big hits in the game-changing inning, and finished the day with two hit each. Samantha Nasella also chipped in with a pair of hits and Arielle Merlina excelled in the field for the winners, who next travel to Pentucket on Sunday.
Central Catholic 15, Lexington 0 (5 inning)
The Raiders erupted for seven runs in the second and six more in the fourth to roll in their Division 1 Round of 32 contest. Olivia Moeckel, Bella Boyer and Emily Goc each drove in three runs, Chloe Salerno had three hit and two RBIs and allowed just three hits in the circle, and Madelyn Estepe scored three runs for the winners.
Girls Lacrosse
Methuen 17, Hopkinton 9
Meghan Terry made 16 saves, including the 300th of her varsity career, as the Rangers rolled in the Division 2 Round of 32. Leading the way offensively for the Rangers were Kiera Fitzpatrick (six goals), Kate Fitzpatrick (five goals), Elizabeth Descheneaux (two goals), Chloe Pickett (two goals) and a goal each from MJ Petisce and Hanane Aboutoui.

Winners for the Golden Warriors in the Division 1 Round of 32 victory were Nik Narina (6-2, 6-2), Kian Keyhan (6-4, 1-6, 6-3) and the doubles team of Matt Wang and Ryan Furlong (6-0, 6-4).

Scoring goals for the Wildcats were Mike Valhouli (two goals), Lucas Keefe and Conor Walsh.
Baseball
Pinkerton 3, Windham 1
Mike Cioffi struck out 14 in six shutout innings, and delivered two of the Astros three hits in the regular season contest. Anthony Caruso had he other Astro hit, as Windham’s Jake Sullo struck out nine in a complete-game gem.
Track
Division 4 Championship
Haleigh Cyr placed second in the pentathlon (2,505) — winning the high jump (4-11) and long jump (15-7.5) portions — to highlight Greater Lawrence on Day 1 of the Division 4 track championship at Merrimack College.
Elizardo Melenciano placed third (22.26) and Gustavo Varela was seventh in the 200 (23.02). David Burgos added a fifth in the discus (144-3). Day 2 will be on Sunday.
