Trailing 2-0 after two sets, the Blue Devils stormed back for a thrilling victory on senior night. Riley Blanchet had 4 kills, 10 digs, and 18 assists. Mia Contarino had 20 digs. Leah McFarland had 12 kills and 5 blocks. Salem is now 11-2 on the season.
Central Catholic 3, Haverhill 1
The Hillies took the first set in a stunner, but it was all Raiders in a trouncing following. For Haverhill, Olivia Lesswing had 16 assists while Lucy Martinez had 16 digs.
Pinkerton 3, Exeter 0
The Astros cruised for yet again another win, now 13-1 on the season. Mollie Jones had 17 digs in the victory, while Maddie Andrade had 16 of her own. Aaliyah Gooden had 9 kills.
Field Hockey
Central Catholic 3, Westford Academy 2
Tied at one apiece at the break, Central Catholic pulled away with a two-goal second half, bringing the Raiders to 5-7-1 on the year. Julia Smida, Celinna Perham, and Anna Siggens each scored for Central. Gianna Bonanno made three saves in the victory.
Golf
Andover 10, North Andover 10
The two foes fought to a tie on Wednesday afternoon. North Andover’s Tyler Fawaz impressed with a 31, as the match medalist. Andover’s winners were Vincent Giaimo, Kathryn Ventura, and Brendan Cote. Tyler’s brother, Logan, and Ben Sullivan-Lattuga won for the Scarlet Knights.
Central Catholic 17, Haverhill 3
Raider senior Harry Garland cruised to yet another victory (-1 on the day) as Central Catholic trounced the Hillies. The Raiders had six winners alongside Garland, while Max Boyer was the lone winner for Haverhill (3&2). Central is now 12-2-1 on the season.
Boys Cross Country
Lowell 21, Andover 36
Andover’s Landon Zoss finished second among all runners with a time of 15:26, but the Warriors fell overall on the afternoon at home. Benjamin Falk finished second best for Andover, sixth best among all runners.
Greater Lawrence Tech 25, Northeast Tech 33
The Reggies celebrated senior night with a victory. While the seniors were honored, it was freshman Josiah Kabuye who stole the show, finishing first among all runners with a time of 18:58.
Girls Cross Country
Andover 27, Lowell 31
The Warriors eked out a close one against the Red Raiders. Rose Kiley finished in second (19:31), while Alexia Chege (19:47) and Clara Vignon-Villani (20:01) finished in third and fourth place.
Central Catholic 21, Haverhill 40
Sophomore Kyla Breslin continued her torrid reign, finishing in first place at 16:48 in the Raider victory. Haverhill’s Madison Howard came in second among all runners at 17:41. Central’s Lila Christy followed in third place at 17:45.
Methuen 15, Lawrence 50
The Rangers are now 2-7 on the season after a crushing defeat over Lawrence. Methuen’s Ashley Machado was the top runner for both sides, finishing with a time of 22:31. Ranger frosh Gianna Bozek followed at 23:23.
Greater Lawrence Tech 28, Northeast Tech 29
It was an exciting senior night for the Lady Reggie runners. Kelly Deleon-Lopez finished first at 22:58, while senior Lino Pachano came in second at 24:52.
