Freshman Hunter Thompson and Logan Tautkus netted two goals apiece for the Blue Devils. Rocco Sullivan netted his first varsity goal. Thomas Griffin was sharp, earning the win in goal.
Central Catholic 4, Shrewsbury 3 (OT)
Logan Haley netted the Raider game-winner in extra time. Andrew Seamans had two goals, including the equalizer in the third. John Grammas also scored, while Cooper Kirchner made 25 saves for the victory in goal.
Haverhill 5, Cambridge 4
Peter Grillo netted his first career hat-trick for the Hillies. Rocco Belfiore netted the game-winner. He and Matt Costa finished with a goal and two assists. Nolan Allen picked up a pair of assists, and Anthony Pizzamenti stopped 29 shots for the win.
Dracut 3, Methuen 2
Liam Worden and Kevin Nestor netted the Ranger goals. Phillip Metivier had 24 saves in net.
Pinkerton 2, Bedford 1
Jayson Vigeant and Mikey McGaffigan scored the goals for the Astros in the big win. Tanner Moody was dynamite in goal with 26 stops for the victory.
Waltham 4, North Andover 2
The Knights fall to 2-4-1 with the loss.
Hingham 5, Andover 0
Andover couldn’t break through and falls to 1-4-1 on the year.
Girls Hockey
Shawsheen 2, Central Catholic 0
Sloan Costa made 33 stops, but it wasn’t enough as the Raiders fall to 1-4.
HPNA 1, Boston Latin 0
Savannah Bissonnette’s short-handed goal, assisted by Taylor Bierschied was the difference in this tight battle. Chris Hinchcliffe posted the shutout win.

Billerica 71, Whittier Tech 58
Stephen Artemis paced the 1-5 Wildcats with 24 points in the loss.
Girls Basketball
Goffstown 57, Timberlane 49
The Owls trailed until the fourth, pulling even at 40-40, before Goffstown took over late. Sam Mooney had 23 points, and Rylee Donahue added 14 for the Owls, now 2-3.
Haverhill 55, Latin Academy 12
Adalight Martinez and Natalie Libby had 17 points apiece for the 5-1 Hillies. Grace Wood scored nine.
Salem 45, Memorial 16
Shae O’Laughlin had nine points for the 4-0 Blue Devils, while Liv DeFrancesco (6 rebounds) and Morgann Raskow (4 steals) added eight points apiece.
Wrestling
Raiders crush Chelmsford field
Central Catholic absolutely dominated the Chelmsford Bruce Rich Invitational, winning the title by over 100 points.
The Raiders got titles from Sam Winship, Lucas Copper, Izaiah Santiago, Rhys Dewar, Caden Chase, Jackson Meehan and Brian Waller-Reitano.
Kaelib Reynolds, who fell in the 175-pound final to Dewar, led Greater Lawrence Tech to sixth place overall.
Pelham saw two wrestlers hit the podium. Victor Zannoni (285) was second, and Ben Maslanek (165) placed fourth. Maslanek, who was 5-1 on the day, celebrated career win No. 100.
Owls second in Maine
Timberlane finished second at the rugged Sanford, Maine Spartan Classic. The Owls were sandwiched between champion Shawsheen Tech and third-place Saint John’s Prep. Zach Patti, at 113, and Kyle Lindblad, at 215, won titles for the Owls.
Astros’ Caruso rolls in Keene
At the Minickiello tourney in Keene, Pinkerton’s James Caruso was the lone area boys champ, at 285 pounds.
Salem’s Ella Paris won the 107-pound title on the girls side.
