Girls Tennis
Salem 6, Pinkerton 3
Mia Contarino and Molly Mosto dominated the top two spots in the lineup, lifting the No. 7 Blue Devils past Pinkerton in the playoff opener.
Amelia Cikacz and Sophya Fitzell added Salem singles wins. Cikacz teamed up with Alara Cakir to pick up a point in doubles as well.
Salem travels to No. 3 Derryfield in the state quarterfinals on Thursday.
Catherine Terrile and Ava Mahon had singles victories for the No. 10 Astros, who close out the year at 7-8.
Baseball
Pinkerton 5, Dover 0On Monday, Astro Mason Matuszak just took over, firing the 98-pitch, three-hit, complete game shutout with five strikeouts. Jacoby Acevedo paced the 11-hit Pinkerton attack with three. Matuszak and Hayden Marshall added two apiece.
Timberlane 9, Portsmouth 5Matt Fitzgerald, Adrian Carrasquillo and Mike Santosuosso combined to go 9 for 11 at the top of the lineup with six runs and seven RBIs on the day. Frankie Carrasquillo added two singles and a double as well. Nate Hutchins picked up the win for 8-11 Timberlane. Kieran Lamb was huge defensively in the outfield.
Catholic Memorial 11, Central Catholic 1Nick Randazzo, Lucas Riley and Finn Rourke had the only Raider hits.
St. John’s Prep 7, Central Catholic 1Shayne Welch, Rourke and Cooper Kirchner (RBI) had the hits as Central closed out the year at 8-13.
Kingswood 20, Pelham 0
The Pythons fall to 5-10 with the no-hit loss.
Boys Lacrosse
Timberlane 20, Pembroke 10Rocco Psareas led the winners with six goals and a pair of assists. Landon Petry added four goals with two assists, while Gio Recesso had three goals and two assists.
Girls Lacrosse
Pinkerton 12, Winnacunnet 8Francesca Doyle led the way with five goals and two assists, while Sookie Folsom chipped in a goal and four assists in the win. Ava Micheline scored three times, and Grace Morrow added a pair of goals. Paige Fenner turned aside eight shots for the victory in net.
Softball
Pinkerton 6, Goffstown 1Julia Caruso spun a three-hitter with 16 strikeouts as the Astros moved to 15-1. Pinkerton played some long ball as Mia Marshall belted a three-run homer and both Mollie Wheale and Samantha Harrington had solo shots. Caruso doubled in a run.
Timberlane 17, Nashua North 0Audrina Cordeiro blasted a three-run homer and Rylee O’Connor also belted a long ball in the win. Sam Mooney had two hits and drove in a pair. Olivia Bova also had two hits.
