Methuen 3, Andover 1
Grabbing a significant victory in the race for the MVC title, the Rangers pulled away at home, despite trailing after the first set. While Methuen had two starters sidelined with injuries, Andrew Cox had a career night, chipping in with 14 kills and 13 digs, while Shawn LaDuke dished out 37 assists. In the defeat, Andover was led by Zach Medjamia with 21 kills and 14 digs, while Tristan Berty had 11 kills and 10 digs. Methuen is now 8-3 on the season.
Haverhill 3, Whittier Tech 2
Trailing 2-0 entering the third set, the Hillies stormed back to steal a win from Whittier in a fantastic battle. Brady Paris led Haverhill with 16 kills, while Peter Grillo had 28 assists.
Softball
Pinkerton 7, Merrimack 1
The Astros remain undefeated on the season, now 7-0, following a dominant showing on the mound from Mollie Wheale. Pitching a complete game, Wheale only allowed four hits on the day, while Caitlyn Lemay drove in two runs at the plate.
Windham 11, Nashua South 0
The bats came out early for the victorious Jaguars, as Anna Mitrou, Kelly Wright, Ava Runde, Marin Hollingshead, Claire Ballard, and Ari DeCotis all had multi-hit games. Wright and Ballard also impressed on the mound, part of a nine strikeout game for Windham.
Brooks School 1, Lawrence Academy 0 (8 innings)
In an extra innings thriller, Brooks got a crucial victory over Lawrence. Andover’s Jackie Giordano was untouchable in the game of her life, throwing a no-hitter with 16 strikeouts, as an error led to the lone Lawrence runner on base. Giordano also went 2-for-3 at the plate with two doubles. Eliza Kuechle hit a foul fly ball in the 8th which scored Kendall Lee for the winning run.
Andover 8, Haverhill 4
The Warriors took advantage of four Hillie errors, scoring six runs in the first five innings. Mia Rousseau struck out seven batters despite allowing five walks, while Evie Rittershaus led Andover at the plate with two RBIs. Emma Manning had two RBIs in the defeat for Haverhill.
Girls Lacrosse
Pinkerton 16, Hanover 8
Astro Hannah Lisauskas had herself a game that will go down in school history, scoring 6 goals and 7 assists in the Pinkerton victory, good enough for an absurd 13 points on the day. Delanie Summers scored 4 goals, while Francesca Doyle had 3. Sara DiClemente made nine saves in net.
Haverhill 10, Triton 9
In a thrilling back-and-forth matchup, the Hillies won a tight one over Triton. Jenna Schultz led the way with three goals, including the game winner, while Sierra Jepson also scored three goals.
Baseball
Salem 11, Alvirne 1
While the Blue Devils won another mercy-rule game, Dom Toscano was lights out on the mound, pitching a complete game, and only allowing two hits. Elias Mercedes was strong with two hits offensively, while Derek Boodoo had 4 RBIs on the day.
Methuen 3, Dracut 1
Trailing 1-0 in the fourth inning, the Rangers stormed back to take down the Middies at home. Joey Tavares had the best showing of his career pitching, striking out 15 batters and only allowing two hits. Methuen is now 4-4, hosting Andover next on Friday.
Pinkerton 11, Merrimack 1
Ace Leo Boucher had himself a game for the Astros, striking out nine batters and only allowing three hits. Matt Hanna drove in three runs at the plate in the victory.
Londonderry 19, Timberlane 3
It was all Londonderry on Wednesday against Timberlane. Scoring ten runs in the fifth inning, the Lancers pushed away in a crushing defeat for the Owls.
Lowell 3, North Andover 1
The Scarlet Knights fell to Lowell on Wednesday afternoon. North Andover is now 7-3 on the season.
Boys Lacrosse
Pinkerton 17, Nashua South 1
Led by Matt Gormady’s 4 goals and 3 assists, the Astros cruised to victory on Wednesday. Alongside Gormady, Jackson Farrell also scored three goals. Pinkerton faces off versus Longmeadow (MA) next on Thursday night.
Windham 14, Nashua North 4
Sophomore Jack Tanso had a strong game in net, stopping 11 shots, leading the Jaguars to a victory. Josh Trudel scored four goals, while Sam Kramer had 3 goals and 3 assists.
Boys Tennis
Lowell 4, Lawrence 1
The Lancers fell to Lowell on Wednesday afternoon. Harlan Tonn was the lone winner for Lawrence on the day.

Pinkerton 7, Londonderry 2
Sweeping the doubles matches, it was all Pinkerton over their rivals, Londonderry. Amelia Coyle, Mia Rivard, Natalie Olson, and Eloise Clark each won their singles matches for Pinkerton.
