Haverhill 7, Triton 6 (OT)
Megan Doody led the victorious Hillies with four goals. Natalie Libby and Shannon Gallagher each added a goal and an assist, while Sierra Jepson also scored. Keira Drouin was sharp with a dozen saves in the win.
Phillips 11, Holderness 2
Ashley Dimnaku had five goals, and Emma Morrison added three. Charlotte Dorman, Scarlet Glass and Maren Boyle had the others.
Softball
Central Catholic 24, Winchester 2
The Raiders got down to business at the plate as Emily Goc, Madelyn Estepe (4 runs scored), Ella O’Connell and Stella Clements all had three hits.
Goc and Chloe Salerno, who roped a pair of triples, drove in five runs apiece. Salerno earned the win with four strong innings, striking out four.
Baseball
BC High 4, Central Catholic 1
The Raiders managed just four hits in first-year coach Leo Gravell’s debut on Saturday. Nick Burgess had two of them. Anthony Polichetti doubled and Jake Kowalski singled in the loss. Danny Snyder went all six innings on the mound in the loss, allowing five hits and five walks while striking out five.
Phillips Sweeps pair
The Big Blue improves to 3-1 on the year. North Andover’s Michael Gilligan and Windham’s Jacob Honor combined for six strong innings, allowing two runs and striking out six in the opening 3-2 win in the Saturday doubleheader. Matt Ulicny worked a scoreless top of the seventh and got the win when Garrett Falahee lofted a walk-off, game-winning sac fly.
In Game 2, Phillips won, 5-2, behind Grant McCubrey’s solid mound work. Down 2-0, Phillips put up five in the sixth. Garrett Falahee had a two-run double. Caleb Penn drew a bases loaded walk, and Ulicny had a bases loaded hit-by-pitch.
St. Mark’s 16, Brooks 0
Captains James Sullivan and Jonathan Stokes had the lone Brooks hits in the loss.
Arlington 6, North Andover 3 (10 innings)
North Andover made the most of its three hits, pushing Arlington into extras. Trey Martin got the start and pitched well, allowing two hits and three walks, while fanning five. Christian Valentino, Braydon Salach and Joe Dorsey had the Knight hits.
Boys Lacrosse
Tewksbury 8, Central Catholic 6
Peter Thomas scored three goals, and Cal Schoenfeld added a pair for the Raiders. Finn O’Sullivan had the other. Maddox Moscardini stopped 22 shots but Central just came up short.
