Seniors Will MacLaren and Kevin Nestor each scored twice as the Rangers were defeated in the non-league game. Methuen ends the regular season with a 14-5-1 record and await a state tournament opponent.
Boys Basketball Pinkerton Academy 77, Merrimack 58
Four players ended in double figures to help push the Astros to their 13th win in 16 games. Josh Phenor led the way with 19 points, followed by Willson Youssef with 11, and Brady Sullivan and Ryder Hawkes with 10 each.
Manchester Central 73, Timberlane 63
Matt Fitzgerald led with 22 points and Cam Stevens added 18 but that wasn’t enough for the Owls to prevail.
Trinity 65, Windham 50
Sam Roidoulis (21) and Brandon Jacobs (15) combined for 36 points as the Jaguars were defeated.
Pelham 73, Coe-Brown 37
The Pythons improved to 10-6 behind the strong play from Brady O’Connor (18 points), Luke Estell (16 points) and Brady Hegan (14 points).
Lawrence 52, Worcester North 46
The Lancers (10-10) qualified for the postseason play behind the performances of Aidan Torres (25 points, 7 rebounds), Prudence Kouhiko (8 points, 5 rebounds), Jaydace Ferrer (10 rebounds) and Jonathan Perez (5 steals).
Greater Lawrence 48, Lynn Tech 42
Armarian Lopes led the way for the Reggies (13-7) with 12 points.
Girls Basketball Manchester Central 50, Timberlane 40
Sam Mooney led the Owls with 15 points, and Rylee Donahue added 13. Lila Fitzgerald pitched in with eight points. Timberlane is now 10-6 on the season.
Concord Christian 50, Pinkerton Academy 28
Maddie Leccese led the Astros with ten points offensively.
Bedford 39, Salem 26
Morgann Raskow and Makayla Burns each scored ten points as the Blue Devils fell to 9-7 on the season.

Girls Basketball Andover 52, St. Mary’s 41
Freshman Lexi Linsey was unstoppable, scoring 17 points to lead the Golden Warriors to the Spartan Classic Tournament title.
Savannah Ross also ended up in double figures with 12 points.
Apponequet 52, Central Catholic 43
In the championship game of the Spartan Classic, Central (8-12) was outscored 19-7 in the third quarter which proved to be the difference in the outcome.
Addie Holmes-Lavallee led the way with ten points and Lilly Phillips finished with nine. McKenna Devanney named to all-tourney team.
Marblehead 44, North Andover 31
In the consolation round of the Larry McIntyre Board 130 Classic, the Magicians edged out the Scarlet Knights. Courtney Fritts was named to the All-Tournament team.
Concord-Carlisle 49, Lawrence 36
Yeira Davila erupted for 20 points as the Lancers were topped in the non-league game.
Windham 63, Concord 15
Rileigh Finneran was one of three players to end in double figures for the Jaguars. She led the way with 17 points, followed by 12 from Colbie Cushman and ten from Liz Grasso.
Boys Basketball Central Catholic 56, Masconomet 52
In the championship game of the Board 27 tournament held at Emmanuel College, Central Catholic edged out Masconomet behind 15 points each from Javi Lopez and Elkin Pena.
The Raiders close out the regular season with an 18-2 record and a ten-game winning streak.
Andover 71, St. John’s Prep 58
In the first round of the Warrior Classic, the Golden Warriors soared past the Eagles behind 30 points from Josh Roux. Charlie Tutwiler also had a huge night with 19 points, six assists and five rebounds.
Andover will face Newton North in the final on Wednesday night (6 p.m.).
North Andover 65, Arlington 62
In his final game of his career, senior Angel Sanchez notched 29 points, as the Scarlet Knights (5-15) were edged out in the non-league game.
BC High 61, Lawrence 53
Despite the performances of Aiden Torres (23 points, 3 rebounds), Lenin Dias (10 points, 3 rebounds) and Jeremiah Lopez (10 points, 5 rebounds), the Lancers were nipped in the non-league game.
Amesbury 75, Whittier Tech 63
Stephen Artemis put forth another incredible performance with 34 points and eight rebounds but that wasn’t enough as the Wildcats were defeated in the non-league game.
Methuen 73, Concord-Carlisle 42
Niles Scott scored 17 points and added nine rebounds as the Rangers dominated the non-league game to improve to 9-11. Dylan Conway (12) and Dylan Sweetser (10) also ended in double figures in scoring, while Reid Suliveras chipped in with eight.
Windham 65, Concord 47
Sam Roidoulis popped in 26 points and Brandon Jacobs added a dozen to lead the Jaguars to the convincing victory.
Boys Hockey Whittier/Amesbury 5 Norwell 5
In the first round of the Newburyport Bank Classic, Whittier/Amesbury and Norwell ended regulation in a tie, but Norwell advanced in the tournament by winning in overtime.
Whittier/Amesbury outshot Norwell 51-17 and received four goals by sophomore Grady Stickney, including his ninth and ten shorthanded tallies of the season. He now has 46 points. Owen Bartniski had the other goal. Evan Murphy and Tom Pourro had two assists each, while Ryan Franz, Colin Brown, Logan Pickering and Thomas McEleney had one each.
Whittier/Amesbury will now face Triton Regional Wednesday (3 p.m.) in the consolation final.
Haverhill 4, Rockport 2
Matt Costa led the offensive attack with two goals and an assist, while teammates Bobby Caron and Ethan Jalbert scored the other goals.
Rocco Belfiore and Peter Grillo had one assist each and goalie Max Boyer stopped 21 shots to earn the win.
Newburyport 6, North Andover 4
Zach Steely scored all four goals for the Scarlet Knights.

Daniel Richards and Johnny Barbarossa netted single goals for the Astros.
Girls Hockey Tewksbury/Methuen 2, Longmeadow 0
Lyla Chapman and Ella Duffy scored single goals to lift the Red Rangers (17-0-2) to the first round win of the McCarthy/O’Hearn Memorial Tournament. Sarah Marano, Sophia Barbosa and Sammy Ryan picked up single helpers and goalie Lydia Barnes registered her 13th shutout.
The Red Rangers will now play the winner of SBL (Shawsheen/Bedford/Lowell) and Arlington Catholic, Wednesday night (7 p.m.).
Gymnastics
On Monday, the State Individual Championship Meet was held at Tewksbury High. Central Catholic’s Kallie McCarthy finished second in the all-around competition with a score of 37.825. She was first on vault (9.70), and then had scores of 9.175 on bars, 9.575 on beam and 9.375 on floor exercise.
Alex Lee of Andover/North Reading finished in a tie for 12th place. She earned scores of 8.9 on vault, 8.850 on bars, 9.125 on beam and 8.725 on floor giving her a total of 35.600.
In the non-all-around competition, Kaya Jackson of Central Catholic finished with a 36.900 score, including taking first on vault (9.30) and finishing with an 8.9 on bars, a 9.450 on beam and a 9.250 on floor exercise.
Alexis Ciarvardone of Andover/NR was tops on the floor with a 9.375 and also earned a 9.1 on vault, an 8.450 on bars and a 9.1 on beam.
Finally, Haverhill’s Brooklyn Potter recorded scores of 8.225 on vault, 8.250 on bars and an 8.40 on floor exercise.
