Editor’s note: The following information is compiled from public records taken from reports from local law enforcement agencies.
• A 60-year-old Chatsworth man was charged Sunday by the Chatsworth Police Department with DUI (drugs); possession of less than an ounce of marijuana; possession and use of drug-related objects; receipt, possession or transfer of a firearm by a convicted felon or felony first offender probationer; possession of a firearm or knife during the commission or attempt to commit certain felonies; possession of meth; possession of a schedule 1 controlled substance; and headlight requirements for all vehicles except motorcycles.
• A 42-year-old homeless man was charged Monday by the Chatsworth Police Department with possession and use of drug-related objects, possession of meth and felony probation violation.
• A 35-year-old Chicago man was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, open container violation, giving false information to a law officer and failure to maintain lane.
• A 40-year-old Dalton man was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a schedule 2 drug.
• A 21-year-old Dalton man was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony theft by receiving a stolen vehicle, false statement/writing/concealing facts from the government and felony failure to appear.
• A 68-year-old Dalton man was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI (drugs) and improper stopping/parking on roadway.
• A 33-year-old Dalton man was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with false imprisonment, simple battery (family violence), criminal trespass (damage of $500 or less) and misdemeanor willful obstruction of law officers.
• A 43-year-old Cohutta man was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with cruelty to children (allowing to witness felony/battery/family violence), battery (family violence) and DUI.
• A 45-year-old Port Chester, New York, man was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with first-degree forgery, false statement/writing/concealing facts from the government, operating a motor vehicle without a proper tag/decal, felony probation violation and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
