Applications are now open for the Western New York Ford Dealers’ 2026 Ford Friendship Express Program, inviting local nonprofit organizations in need of reliable transportation to apply for the opportunity to receive a new Ford vehicle.
Applications and program guidelines are available at www.fordfriendshipexpress.com. Completed applications are due by July 31.
Launched in Buffalo in 1996, Ford Friendship Express is a pay-it-forward program through which local Ford dealers donate a “brand-new set of wheels” to nonprofit organizations that provide vital services throughout Western New York. The program gives organizations an opportunity to share their stories and demonstrate how improved transportation would help advance their missions.
“For 30 years now, the Western New York Ford Dealers have donated more than 100 new vehicles to area nonprofits in need of reliable transportation,” said Frank Zambito, chairman of the Western New York Ford Dealers Association. “We’re honored to continue supporting the organizations that provide essential services and make a meaningful difference throughout our community.”
G.A. Family Services and Greater Buffalo Adaptive Sports were the latest organizations to join the Ford Friendship Express family as 2025 recipients. Additional past recipients include the SPCA Serving Erie County, Trocaire College, Boys & Girls Club of East Aurora, Niagara Gospel Mission and many more.
All nonprofit organizations operating within Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus or Allegany counties or McKean or Potter counties in Pennsylvania, are eligible to apply.
