AMESBURY — LUNGSTRONG, a local nonprofit that raises funding for lung cancer research, will hold its 15th annual Live It Up LUNGSTRONG fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 13, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., at the Polish Club, 14 Mill St.
The event will feature a cash bar, live music by the Time Bandits, pizza by the Pizza Project, and silent and live auction items that include Boston Bruins tickets, a luxury box for 10 at a Boston Celtics game, a weekend at Saddleback Mountain, jewelry and artwork. General admission tickets are available for $50 per person.
Tickets are limited, so LUNGSTRONG is encouraging people to purchase tickets in advance.
In addition, there will be brief speeches by renowned lung cancer researchers.
This year’s event will honor LUNGSTRONG founder Diane Legg, who lost her 20-year battle with Stage 4 lung cancer in December . Her legacy lives on as the organization has raised more than $8 million for lung cancer research.
Parking will be available at John McGinnis Auctioneers, 76 Main St., Amesbury, and at the Amesbury town lots on Water and Friend streets.
