Several local youngsters have been playing well for the RES Angels 12U softball team of late. Based out of Salem, the Angels program has girls from all over the North Shore and boasts teams at the 12, 14, 16 and 18U levels.
This summer the 12s have enjoyed success in various tournaments led in part by a quartet from Peabody in home run machine Paige Quigley, Catherine Newbury, Ella Weed and Bella Addorisio.
