The American Pickers from the hit History Channel television show are returning to Mississippi and are looking for leads in searching out large, junkie, historical, private collections belonging to residents in the state.
They plan to film episodes for the TV series throughout Mississippi in February 2024.
“We’re looking for leads throughout the state, specifically interesting characters with fascinating items and lots of them! The way we find people and collections for our show is through spreading the word far and wide so that people know we’re coming to town,” Jasmina Joseph, a producer of the show wrote in an email.
“American Pickers” is a documentary series that explores the world of antique “picking” on The History Channel. The hit show follows skilled pickers in the business as they hunt for valuable antiques and historical treasures. According to a press release, the pickers are always excited to find not only historically significant or rare items but also unforgettable characters and their collections.
Collectors interested in being considered for the “American Pickers” show or anyone who knows of a collector who would have an interesting story to tell can reach out to the show’s pickers by phone at 646-493-2184, by email at americanpickers@cineflix.com or on Facebook at American Pickers Got A Pick. Anyone contacting the show should include their full name, phone number, city and state, and description of the collection with photos.
The pickers only pick private collections and do not pick stores, flea markets, malls, auctions, businesses, museums or anything open to the public, according to the release.
