The American Legion Band of the Tonawandas’ annual Christmas Concert, a cherished tradition that brings warmth and joy to the community, will take place on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cardinal O’Hara High School Performing Arts Center, 39 O’Hara Road, Town of Tonawanda.
Guest vocalists will be Mary Kofahl and John Panepinto.
Under the direction of Matthew Cool, the 80-member American Legion National Championship Band will present a vibrant program of holiday favorites. The concert will feature:

• Christmas Carol Fantasy – Takashi Hoshide
• Sleigh Ride & A Christmas Festival – Leroy Anderson
• Sound of Music – Richard Rodgers

• Evening Prayer from Hansel & Gretel – Engelbert Humperdinck
• Holiday Piece – David Foster
• The Sleighbell Tingle – Richard Eilenberg
• White Christmas – Irving Berlin
• Plus other seasonal selections sure to delight audiences of all ages
“This concert is our gift to the community,” said David Abrahamian, president of the American Legion Band of the Tonawandas. “It’s a chance to share the spirit of the season through music that uplifts, inspires, and brings people together.”
“Our program blends timeless classics with fresh arrangements that reflect the joy and nostalgia of the holidays,” Abrahamian added. “Whether these pieces are part of your lifelong memories or a brand-new discovery, we hope they will add some extra cheer to your holiday season.”
