Because of you, we are proud to be able to invest in Whitfield and Murray counties through grants, direct services and strategic programs that serve our community and its members every day. We can also invest strategically in the best, most effective community partners. From advancing health and education to strengthening livelihoods and local resilience, we connect people to possibility. Our local community partners and United Way programs serve more than 47,000 people annually. These accomplishments wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our generous donors, dedicated volunteers and the collaboration of community partners. I extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who has contributed to these achievements.
Kevin Wright led the United Way Campaign in 2023. Although it’s no easy task serving as campaign chair, Kevin believes strongly in the value of United Way: uniting people to possibility. Our United Way Campaign Cabinet, campaign chair and Board of Directors recently gathered to celebrate and announce that our community has again risen to the occasion and met our campaign goal of $4.155 million.
When I asked Kevin what the 2023 campaign taught him about our community, he said, “Our community has always inspired me, and this year was no exception. With the guidance and support of United Way, we were able to meet our campaign goal and provide those essential needs to individuals and families throughout Whitfield and Murray counties.
“I want to express my appreciation to our fantastic Campaign Cabinet members, generous business partners and individual donors who have supported United Way. Through their commitment to United Way, we met this year’s goal of $4.155 million. I could not be prouder of our community for passionately bringing people together to improve lives.”
I cannot thank Kevin enough for serving as our campaign chair this past year. His leadership and passion inspire me and many others as we look to the year ahead and continue serving our community.
To all the people, organizations and companies of all sizes who stepped up to support United Way in 2023, I thank you for making Whitfield and Murray counties a better place. United, we do more. United, so everyone in our community can thrive.
“The Power of Our Community” to support one another is unmatched. We are thankful to live where a giving spirit is an integral part of everyday life. Looking forward, the United Way of Northwest Georgia remains committed to our mission of “Improving Lives, Inspiring Donors and Uniting Community.” We will continue working to build a stronger, more resilient future for all. Join us!
Live United.
