Allegany County Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, May 27, due to forecasted heavy rain in the region.
Parts of Allegany County are under a Flood Watch Wednesday from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The school system said in a release Tuesday night that “out of an abundance of caution and taking proactive measures to keep our community safe, Allegany County Public Schools and offices will be closed for students and staff on Wednesday.”
The closing will not be a virtual day of learning for students.
