CUMBERLAND — Isaiah Fields scored a game-high 23 points and Zach Michael added 18 as No. 3 Allegany overpowered Clear Spring 82-45 Saturday afternoon at Allegany High School.
Fields hit 10 baskets and was 3 of 5 from the line for his total. Michael, who had a double-double with 11 rebounds, hit eight field goals and was 2 of 4 on free throws.
Eli Imes and Dae Dae Smith each had two 3-pointers to score 11 and 10 points, respectively. Smith was perfect on four free throws while Imes made 1 of 6 and had five rebounds.
Chris Manhertz and Landyn Ansel each added six points. Smith had six assists, five rebounds and four steals while Fields had four assists and three steals along with Manhertz and Ansel.
Clear Spring’s Dillon Albowicz also scored 23 points, hitting the Blazers’ three 3-pointers out of seven field goals and making 5 of 9 free throws. Wyatt Albowicz added seven points and Charles Barnard had five.
Allegany (11-3) was never threatened, leading 18-4 after the first period, 40-19 at halftime and took a 30-point, 64-34 lead into the fourth quarter.

Mountain Ridge 49 Northern 34
ACCIDENT — In a low scoring game for both teams, Mountain Ridge held on to beat Northern on Friday.
The Miners (8-6, 3-2 Western Maryland Athletic Conference) held the Huskies (6-9, 0-7 WestMAC) to under 10 points in each of the first three quarters.
Northern allowed 17 points in the first half, but gave up 32 in the second half.
Cam Breighner scored a game-high 16 points for Mountain Ridge.
Ian Duncan added 12 points and went 4 of 5 at the foul line.
Abe Schilpp led the Huskies with 14 points.
The Miners led 9-3 after one quarter, 17-8 at halftime and 29-17 after three quarters.
Both teams play on Tuesday. Mountain Ridge hosts Allegany at 7 p.m. while Northern travels to face Rockwood at 7:15 p.m.
Keyser 65 Moorefield 52
KEYSER, W.Va. — Kameron Samples poured in a season-high 21 points, and Keyser used a strong second quarter to down Moorefield on Friday night.
Keyser (5-7) and Moorefield (4-8) were tied at 13-all following the first period, but the Golden Tornado won the second 22-13 to lead 35-26 at the half. Patrick Liller, Samples and Drew Matlick all made at least two field goals in the frame.
Keyser extended its lead to 49-37 and held on in the fourth to end a modest two-game skid.
Samples hadn’t scored in double figures all season, but exploded for more than 20 points on eight field goals, including two 3-pointers. Liller (11 points) and Matlick (10) also had double-digit scoring nights.
Ronny Griest tallied a game-high 25 points for Moorefield.
Keyser rolled 38-16 in the junior varsity game, led by Braylon McGreevy’s game-high 15 points.
Keyser is at Petersburg on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Moorefield is at Frankfort at the same time.
No. 5 Frankfort 67 Notre Dame 52
SHORT GAP, W.Va. — Four Falcons scored in double figures, and Frankfort outscored Notre Dame, 34-22, after halftime to emerge victorious on Saturday.
Frankfort (8-5) pushed its winning streak to five with the victory following a 3-5 start to the season. The Falcons led 16-12 after the first quarter, 33-30 at the half and 47-38 entering the fourth.
The Falcons were paced by Jeremy Phillips with 18 points, followed by Cam Layton with 16, Cam Lynch with 11 and Jeremiah Babo with 10.
Naelyn tallied a game-high 20 points for Notre Dame.
Frankfort rolled in the junior varsity bout 63-19. Two Falcons, Kycin Waites and Ethan Talley, scored at least 20 points, and Bryson Grady added 10.
Frankfort hosts Moorefield on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Petersburg 72 Tygarts Valley 59
MILL CREEK, W.Va. — Kaleb Kuhn exploded for 11 points in the fourth quarter to guide Petersburg past Tygarts Valley on Saturday.
The Vikings (10-3) held leads of 17-14, 31-30 and 53-48 following the first three quarters when Kuhn buried a trio of 3-opinters and Caden Ours added three field goals of his own to fuel Petersburg to a 19-11 final period.
Kuhn ended with a game-high 28 points, and Peyton Tingler (16 points) and Ours (12) joined him in double figures. Carter Hardy added nine.
Scoring in double figures for Tygarts Valley were Kaden Moore (13), Jacob Wamsley (12) and Ethan McGee (10).
Petersburg hosts Keyser on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Paw Paw 48 Shanksville 46
PAW PAW, W.Va. — Paw Paw built a 10-point lead after the first quarter and held off a late Shanksville rally on Saturday to win for the third straight time.
The Pirates (11-5) jumped out to an 18-8 edge behind 10 first-quarter points from Donovan Tanouye and eight via Aiden Crabtree.
Paw Paw led 25-20 at the half and was tied at 34 entering the fourth.
Tanouye scored six more in the fourth and Taylor Carder added a pair of field goals, as the Pirates won the decider 14-12.
Tanouye ended with a game-high 18 points, adding six rebounds and three assists. Carder scored 13 points and pulled down six rebounds, and Crabtree joined them in double figures with 11 points.
Braxton Faidley and Braxton Newman led the way for Shanksville scoring 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Paw Paw hosts Pendleton County on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Tucker Co. 76 No. 4 Southern 43
HAMBLETON, W.Va. — Southern suffered a second consecutive lopsided defeat against stiff competition, falling at Tucker County on Friday night.
Three Tucker players ended in double figures, led by Ethan Rosenau with 24 points, burying six 3-pointers. Trevan Bonner added 14 points and hit three 3s. Tucker made 11 triples in the game.
Jared Haskiell and Isaiah Keller paced the Southern scoring with 15 and 11 points, respectively. Haskiell made four triples.
Southern (7-6) hosts Broadfording on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
