EAST STREET — The Oneonta High School Drama Club’s presentation of “The Addams Family,” opened Friday, March 8, and will continue in Belden Auditorium at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 9, and 3 p.m. Sunday, March 10.
According to a media release, the show is based on characters created by Charles Addams in his single panel gag cartoons which depict a ghoulish American family with an affinity for the macabre.
The musical comedy tells the story of love and friendship through adversity with a comical and frightful, yet poignant, spin. There will be a brief intermission with concessions available and a basket raffle to benefit productions planned for next season.
The show is directed by Cappagnia-Lynne Chase, with musical direction by Michael Depauw and vocal coaching by Jennifer White. Participants include 23 student actors and five production team students in middle and high school.
Tickets, at $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students, will be available at the door one hour before showtime.
